Google My Business (GMB) pages are here! Finally, Google Plus Pages & Google Places have been united! Yesterday I put out a thorough article explaining What is Google My Business.
Here is Google’s announcement and video. Please note, the video mostly shows the benefits of using Google My Business. Many of these things were already available from using a Google Page in combination with Google Places. There are however, many new features (listed below).
New features:
- Everything from Google Plus Pages & Google Places is now combined into one neat dashboard. This is a dream come true. You can now edit all business information right from GMB, instead of navigating over to Google Places.
- Reviews: Easily view and respond to Google Reviews. Also, see reviews from “around the web”. This means you see “many” reviews from websites such as MerchantCircle, Insider Pages, Yahoo!, etc.
- Insights: Fresh new insights! GMB insights currently include visibility, engagement, and audience.
- YouTube Channel information.
- And much more!
