Another day, another “How to” article!
A few users are finding it difficult to navigate to the correct place on Google Plus where they can upload their pictures, if you are one of those users then read on and find out how to add your own pictures.
Step 1
Login to your Google+ profile and locate the Photos tab found towards the top of the page, it looks like a snapshot with a mountain peak inside it:
Step 2
You will now see a collage of photos which have been uploaded by people inside your circles. Ignore these for now and click on the red Upload New Photos button found towards the top right corner of the page:
Step 3
You should now see a popup with a bordered area in the middle. This presents you with the option to either drag and drop photos into this area directly from your computer or to manually select photos by clicking the Select photos from your computer button. It is unlikely that you already have an album created so remember to give this new one a name and then click Create album once you have added all your pictures:
Step 4
You will now have to select who you wish to Share the album and photos with. This is basically a privacy feature enabling you to share relevant photos with relevant contacts, in my example you can see I have decided to share it with all my circles yet not to the public. If you had baby pictures for example then you may only wish to share it with your “family” circle:
Now you will be taken to the completed album and displayed with all the photos you have uploaded. From here you can change the share settings, upload more photos, tag photos, etc. If you wish to comment on or edit a photo then simply click on it, you will see a speech bubble for comments to be made and a drop down button called Actions enabling you to rotate, edit or remove the photo.
I hope this has helped you learn how to add pictures to Google Plus and I’ll be looking out for the ones you share with me!
