Last night, April 14, 2014, Google+ rolled out new notifications.
This is a great feature which displays the title of your post, along with who +1’d, mentioned, shared, or commented on your post. The new feature also affects notifications sent from notification circles.

I think this is a great feature and am very happy with it. There is no doubt some people will complain about it and other things in their life they can not change :).
